Stop and listen. <\/strong>Boom! We\u2019re under attack! Time to fight back! Our first instinct when criticized is often to get defensive and immediately justify ourselves, or counterattack the criticisizer. Take a step back from \u201cus versus them,\u201d so you can really pay attention to what\u2019s being said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. Consider its value.<\/strong> Usually, the criticism we get is free, but realize people earn BIG bucks to offer good criticism. They\u2019re called consultants. Not to say all criticism is valuable; it takes wisdom to sift through what is and isn\u2019t. But if valid, the gift of good criticism can be much more life-altering than gold jewelry!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3. Put it to use.<\/strong> Even if you listen and consider the valid criticism you\u2019re given, it\u2019s still meaningless unless you act on it!
