Beautiful Badlands

As part of my “Wild At Heart” road trip, I wanted to make it out to the Badlands of South Dakota. Between camping and waking up to horses, and singing in the rugged rocks of the badlands, I had a solo trip that was good for the soul. In my 2012 Chevy Impala rental car, I made it all the way to Custer State park to find myself surrounded by bison and a prairie storm rolling in. In that moment I felt small, but inspired!

While in South Dakota, you are almost literally forced to stop at Wall Drug, so I did

And I was able to stop by at a friend’s house along the way and have some adventures!
