“ A wise son makes his father happy,
but a foolish son brings grief to his mother.”
1. Be wise.
Being wise is easier said than done… Learn from God’s word and wise people. Keep wise company- people who are a positive influence on you and who help you make wise decisions.
2. Don’t be foolish.
(Go look it up in the dictionary. And no- not JUST wikipedia!”)
3. Honor and respect.
Honor means you take time to listen to what they are trying to tell you–without the sarcastic eyeroll! (Even when it is the forty-seventh time you’ve gotten a lecture about not leaving your clothes lying on the floor.) Finally, act on what you hear. Truly honoring means you also take action! Besides, they’re your parents, even if they are old, they probably know more than you think.
