While on our 2-month-long working vacation in the Philippines, my wife’s family and I took a side trip to Japan for one week! While I initially was bummed that we wouldn’t be visiting the world’s most populous city, Toyko, I was definitely pleased that my brother-in-law, who had lived and worked in Japan for several years, planned our trip in the Osaka area instead! We even got to meet up with some strangers-that-are-now-friends to observe Pentecost. #Japantecost
